My husband and I recently reserved a home at 8,000.When we came back to discuss purchase agreement and so forth, we were told that the home price had jumped up by 00. Is it legal for home builder to change
price on a home a buyer has reserved?

My husband and I want to put our house on the market. We are planning to build a new home at Medina Lake where we own land. We thought we should find a builder and finalize plans before putting our house on the market. Not sure how the timing would all work. Anyone been here before?
Our first choice of builder right now is Design Tech. Any opinions?
BTW, we are looking for a custom home builder, not just a build-on-your-lot builder.

Last November 2006 I signed an agreement with a home builder to build a house for me and my family in Laurel, MD
As part of the agreement, I deposited ,000 for the home + another ,000 for options. The contract stated that the home was to be ready by May 2007.
- In April, they told me it will be ready June
- In June they told me late July or early August
- Now they are telling me, they don’t know when it will be ready … that maybe the second quarter of next year.
They are still building the first house and they say it is the model and until they finish that one before they can start any other house.
My question is: Can he legally keep my deposit?
P/S: There is no clause that says he can keep my deposit. I have ready over the agreement several times and there is nothing.
I am supposed to be out of my condo by December, and I have a 6 month old son and a wife (who is still in college).
It took me over siz years to save this money…. Any good lawyers out there?
I did everything they asked for, the deposits, the loan approvals etc.
Now they are telling me I will have to forfeit my deposits.
The State is Maryland.
Laurel is the city in PG (Prince George’s) County

Hi my siblings and I recently purchased a home with lot size of 9000 square feet. We are planning to tear down the old house and build 4 town houses on the lot. Does any one know of any home builder in the Southern California area that builds new homes for clients that already have a land? If yes how do we go about the process of building the homes. Thanks.

I’m looking for a home builder to build on land I own. Is there a website where a company has the final building cost of the houses along with different home designs and pictures? thanks.

I have some acreage where I want to build a custom home, approx 7 to 10,000 sq ft. If I choose a decent, reputed builder for the job, how much do you think it would cost to build such a home since I already own the land?
Also, does it matter where the house is being built? The land is in an expensive area, so i’m concerned that these builders might charge more due to that fact.
Percs (permits etc) and financing have already been obtained.
