An underground palatial house was recovered in Vishwamadu where LTTE leader Prabhakaran is believed to have been hiding. Our Representative Anura Dorakumbura said the entire Vishwamadu area has now come under the Security Forces. The 7th Infantry Regiment of the 572nd Brigade of Colonel Senarath Bandara under the command of Major General Jagath Dias, recovered a luxury house last evening. The medicines given to diabetic patients was also found. A specialist doctor has treated a diabetic patient at this location. Therefore, it is believed that Prabhakaran who is suffering from diabetes was staying in this house.

Each room had an attached bath with hot and cold water and other luxuries. The walls were about two and half feet thick, built to sustain any air attack. The iron rods normally used to build bridges had been use in laying the concrete. It was protected with about 20 guard posts within the High Security Zone. There was a stair case which is believed to have been used in an emergency from the surface level to the third floor. The 14the Gajaba Regiment under the 681st Brigade of Lt. Col. Nilantha Gamage captured the location under the guidance of Task Force Eight and of the 53rd Division of Brigadier Kamal Gunarathne.
