Extreme Makeover: Home Edition took a trip to Davidson County, North Carolina to drop in on the Creasey Family. Tricia Creasey, a 7th Grade Teacher, was diagnosed with cancer and home repairs have been put on hold due to chemotherapy. Country Music Star Jewel joined the EMHE Team for this remodel. The Creasey Family’s oldest daughter, Brittany, gets a Paris Rooftop remodel of her room which features white faux brick panels from FauxPanels.com
The Cape Henlopen High School gym was packed with a small army of volunteers and supporters preparing for a visit from ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” which is slated to start building at an undisclosed Sussex County location Monday, Aug. 22. The show and the build will change the lives of one Sussex County family forever when show host Ty Pennington yells “Move that bus” and reveals the family’s new home. The crowds were full of energy during the pep rally held Aug. 16, which was coordinated by local builder Schell Brothers.
This was the third and most destructive tornado I filmed during the May 19th, 2010 outbreak. After coming into western Stillwater I repositioned to the north slightly in the parking lot of the New Life church were a church’s congregation had massed out in front of their building to watch the storm. Foolishly thinking the now high precipitation supercell was transitioning to outflow dominant I began to relax and let my guard down a bit. Slowly off to my west a silhouette of a large tornado began to come into view and before long it looked to threaten me and the crowd of people around me. I shouted for them to take shelter making them flee into the church while I started to call in the tornado to other chasers around me via my ham radio. The tornado passed south of my location and began to dissipate shortly after entering the city limits but unfortunately as the tornado was coming into view it was successful in destroying a barn and a mobile home. The scraps of sheet metal could see in the funnel was from these structures. After being out run by the storm we caught a short glimpse of another large yet brief tornado to the east of town but were unable to catch up with it. Bellow are some relevant links to this tornado including the local news story about the mobile home that was hit. March 28, 1992. Waller road just south of Pioneer Way East. The extra additions and false ceilings made this one difficult to get at. The underside of the mobile home also burned. No one was home at the time. No injuries.

September 6, 1991 Graham, WA. An elderly man died in this single wide mobile home blaze. He was found inside. Cause of the fire was ruled accidental.
The fire broke out just after 9pm in the 6500 block of 203 street ct east. The power had just come back on after a wide scale power outage in Pierce county. I do not know the cause of the blaze. But the timing just after the power came back on, I wonder if it maybe power related? Total loss, no injuries to occupants or fire personal. It burned hot and fast.
