Is there anyone out there who is an Interior Designer? I want to know what to expect when and after I attain my degree in Interior Design. The work, the average pay, the process, the team, the pros and cons; everything that I’ll be expected of me.
i want to go to school for interior design but i want to know more like what jobs can i get, how much can i be making a year and how pricey it is to go through school. and if it is hard finding a job.
I need to find some "rules" of interior design… expecially laws/rules that deal with colors.
-
A website that teaches the rules would be great…. For instance I want to know if there is a rule about the colors you choose for your kitchen wall and cupboards…. etc….
Im only 14, But i really want to be an Interior Designer when i get older. I’m taking Home Ec. and Journalism for my freshmen year which doesn’t really help me…But I was wondering if anybody knew anything i could do to start learning about interior design and things i should get a head start on? Thanks so much =)

I really have an eye for it, but I’m in school for Digital Arts. I LOVE interior design, but can’t afford to switch majors yet. Do I need a degree?
@Delicate: Digital Arts and Graphic Design are the same thing. Only, I’ll be qualified to work on webpages, make songs, etc. DA is a higher quality GD.
I’m interested in doing something with interior design or architecture. I don’t know what kind of degrees I would have to get though or what type of school to attend, or really I just don’t have much info on it. can you answer any of these and what school in southern cali would you recommend?
I am looking for anything related to architect, house designs, house plans, wood projects, home designing magazines or books. I can not afford subcriptions and I would love to take old to new magazines/books in good condition for my interest, but where can I find them? I tried posting on Craigslist, and no luck
Some of the magazines that I am interested are:
Architectural Digest
Dwell
Residential Architect
Fine Homebuilding
Custom Home
Remodeling
Interior Design
Architecture Week
Architecture
House Beautiful
This Old House
Fine Woodworking
I am also looking for any books including house plans, style of homes, modern buildings, styles of architecture and more. I also perfers bigger lots of magazines/books to make it worth the trip.
