I was a window decorator and making about ,000 in commissions a year doing in home consultations, I WAS in the field for 10 years. I loved my job but the market fell and its not doing to good right now for these luxuries. This position was was ALOT of paperwork and brainpower. I have been out of work for a almost a year and need to find something soon. I have been in sales most my life but also have management and office skills. I have no idea which way to turn, I thought of getting my real estate license because I love Homes and decorating and helping people but they say you cant survive off that alone when starting out. That scares me. I know I can do anything I put my mind to but I have small children at home so it needs to be a fairly relaxed schedule thats resonable or I can controll. Any suggesstions?

I have my Real Estate license in FL and considering applying for a position with Ryland homes…but no one can tell me how their pay structure is. Is it commission based only? What is the average income potential for this position? Is it better to be an independent contractor or work with a home builder? Thanks!
